Stuff is being deleted off zune unwillingly? - can i install a software on my external hardrive

all the songs I on my model at the time, but are still deleted from my Zune. Can I change a setting to stop it?

Heres my situation, I have an external Hardrive has all the songs that are on my Zune. recently purchased, when a DVD burner and installed it. My External Hardrive used for the My Book (E:) are known, but after my DVD burner, so (E used:) and my external Hardrive, is now (F). My Zune software, everybody knew the location of my music as such. (E:) blablablabla. So now that you changed the location of my software keeps it all for new music and removes the old music from my Zune. Does that make sense?
